Rules of Procedure

In order to make your stay at Hotel La Laguna Spa & Golf more pleasant, we detail the following internal regulations for guests. All persons staying at the hotel, during their stay, will be subject to these regulations, which are considered a contract of adhesion that must be complied with. Otherwise, the management reserves the right of admission and stay.

1.- Admission and stay

The Cafeteria-Bistro, Restaurant and Spa services are open to all members of the public, with no restrictions other than those derived from the legal provisions and these regulations.

However, the “Outdoor Swimming Pool” and “Pool Bar” are exclusively for guests staying at the Hotel for reasons of capacity.

2.- Check-in registration

The person or persons wishing to use the accommodation units, common facilities and, where appropriate, the complementary services detailed in these Regulations, must present their identification documents for the purpose of admission and registration in the establishment’s register. This establishment, once the person or persons have been registered, shall draw up an admission document stating the name, category and registration number of the establishment, the number or identification of the assigned room, the number of persons who are going to occupy it, the dates of arrival and departure and the meal plan that has been arranged and,when contracted directly, also the price of the accommodation. This admission document must be signed electronically by the interested party in order to formalise their admission, once they have been informed of the existence of these Regulations and of their rights and obligations. The client may request a copy of the document at any time from the establishment.

The presentation of a complaint does not exempt from the obligation to pay for the contracted services. The establishment may require its users, at any time and upon presentation of the invoice and receipts, to pay for services rendered outside the accommodation, even if payment for these has been agreed in advance.

This establishment may request the assistance of law enforcement officers to evict from its premises users who do not comply with these regulations, who intend to access or remain in them for purposes other than the normal use of the hotel service and also, where appropriate, people who are not registered as users, attend banquets, meetings, etc. or who fall into the cases set out in section 2 above. This establishment may request a guarantee of payment for the contracted services, in accordance with the applicable regulations, and to charge the corresponding amount to the user’s account for any damage or damage caused to the facilities, furnishings and elements of the establishment due to negligence or misuse.

3.- Clauses

1. The hotel reserves the right of admission.

The admission and stay of persons in this establishment will only be refused for the following reasons:

a) For lack of accommodation capacity or facilities.

b) Failure to comply with the admission requirements established in these
regulations.

c) For adopting conduct that may cause danger or inconvenience to other persons or users, or for hindering the normal development of the activity.

d) For failure to pay the total amount of the booking when requested to do so by hotel staff.

When the aforementioned circumstances occur or when persons incur in one or
more of the restrictions listed above, the staff responsible for the establishment may require them to leave the establishment, after payment, where applicable, of any outstanding bills for the provision of services and consumption.

It is expressly stated that free access to the facilities defined in “Admission and stay”, the services detailed above and the accommodation of this hotel establishment will not be denied or restricted to persons who so wish, on the grounds of sex, disability, with or without a guide dog, religion, opinion or any other personal or social circumstance.

2. For the comfort of all our guests, pets are not allowed. Pets are also not allowed to be left inside vehicles in parking areas.

3. Firearms, explosive materials, flammable materials, narcotics or similar
substances are not allowed inside the hotel.

4. Any damage or loss caused by the guest to goods, property and belongings owned by the hotel must be paid for in accordance with the value established by the company, except for those exceptions where the hotel is liable.

5. Check-in time is at 16:00h, while check-out time is at 11:59 am at the latest, the management being empowered to require the guest to vacate the room.

6. Late checkout is subject to availability. The management reserves the right to offer the late check out service according to the season and availability of the hotel. It is a service with an additional charge.

7. The management declines all responsibility for the loss of jewellery, money,documents or other valuables of any kind kept in the rooms, even if they are in the room safe. At reception there is a safety deposit box where you can deposit any valuables or cash in which we do respond in the event of an incident.

8. The management of the establishment recommends:

• Keep an eye on and check your luggage. Do not leave it unattended.

• Close your room door when you leave your room and try to open it again to make sure it is properly locked, even if only for a short time.

• Keep the door closed when you are in the room.

9. For room cleaning, you must leave the room before 12 noon. The cleaning staff will not clean your room with you in it. If you wish to have your room cleaned, please hang the notice “please clean room” on the outside of your room door. If you do not wish to be disturbed, hang the notice “Please do not disturb” on the outside of your room door.

10. In order to guarantee the security, privacy and peace of mind of users, this hotel establishment has technical devices for electronic surveillance, with permanent recording elements, corridors and other general or common areas. We comply with the LOPD both in recording and in the manipulation of the same.

11. All visits to rooms occupied by guests are strictly forbidden, except those carried out with the authorisation of the management. The hotel reserves the right to ask for the identification of any unauthorised person who is on the premises.

 

12. In no case may the number of persons accommodated in each room exceed the
capacity assigned by the hotel to each room.

13. It is the obligation of guests to inform the hotel management of contagious
diseases, deaths, infractions or crimes that occur in the establishment and are
known to them, so that the company can in turn, take appropriate measures and
report immediately to the authorities when appropriate.

14. Reservations will be guaranteed by credit card.

15. The booking conditions are specified in the booking confirmation and are
accepted by the client in the booking process according to the type of rate.

16. The Accommodation Agreement may be terminated for the following reasons:

• For the expiry of the agreed term.

• For breach of the agreements and regulations governing the same.

• For the guest committing moral offences or making scandals that disturb the other guests.

• For absence of the guest for more than forty-eight (48) hours without notice or warning.

• Failure to pay in the agreed manner.

17. The opening hours of the services are posted in the common areas of the hotel.The hotel reserves the right to change the timetable of any service on an ad hoc or definitive basis.

18. Any consumption made at an internal point of sale of the hotel is presumed to be acceptance of the price and will be charged to your account, which will be paid by the customer when required by the establishment.

19. Upon termination of the accommodation contract and/or event for any of the
causes listed above, if the guest refuses to vacate the room or leave the
establishment, the hotel may request the assistance of the corresponding authorities to carry out the eviction without any additional procedure.

20. Guests shall make their payments in cash, credit or debit card. The hotel does not accept payment by cheque.

21. The hotel reserves the right, in the event of any type of damage, deterioration or theft caused in the room or any other hotel facility by the client, to claim the corresponding compensation from the client. The hotel may charge for the cost of towels (20€), pillows (40€), bathrobes (50€) or any other room equipment that may be missing after the client’s departure. For this purpose, the cleaning staff carries out an exhaustive daily inventory check of each room.

22. It is not permitted to bring food and beverages for consumption in common
areas of the Hotel. The use of candles and/or incense inside the rooms is not
permitted.

23. The hotel is not responsible for forgotten or neglected objects in common areas.

24. In the event that the client forgets an object in the room, he/she may claim it from the hotel within a period of one year and the client must arrange for it to be collected by a courier company. After one year, the hotel management will determine the destination of the object.

25. For reasons of hygiene and health, the hotel will not keep any foodstuffs or toiletries left in the room after departure.

26. The hotel shall not be liable for non-fulfilment of the contract when the event cannot be carried out for reasons of force majeure such as: fires, earthquakes, strikes, riots and others.

27. Our restaurant areas close at the times detailed on your Hotel check-in sheet. You will not be allowed to stay in the restaurant areas after closing time.

28. Loud music is not allowed in the common areas or rooms.

29. Smoking is strictly prohibited in any area of the hotel including terraces or gardens. Smoking is only permitted in the areas defined for this purpose.

30. It is forbidden to use the electrical current and mechanical equipment installed in your room for purposes other than those for which they are intended.

31. The hotel is not responsible for the partial or total loss of goods, valuables or vehicles in the parking areas.

32. The hotel is not responsible for damage caused by third parties to vehicles.

33. It is not permitted for people to stay for prolonged periods of time inside the vehicle in the hotel’s parking area.

34. All vehicles will be removed from the site by means of a tow truck, after 24 hours of which there is no information about the owner or responsible party, and the presence of the respective authorities will be requested and the vehicle will be taken to the facilities of said institution.

35. The luggage and effects of the guest are preferentially liable to the hotelier for the amount of the accommodation and for this purpose may be retained by the hotelier until the amount owed by the guest is paid.

36. The hotel provides guests with 1 pool towel per person per stay for a deposit of 10 euros, which will be returned when the towel is returned. For reasons of our commitment to the environment, there is no exchange or replacement option. If you wish, you can bring your own towel from home.

37. The hotel provides an alarm clock service. However, the hotel is not responsible for missed flights or missed journeys in the event of an incident with the wake-up service.

38. The Spa gives our guests the option of renting a towel free of charge while
enjoying the “Path of the senses” treatment by paying a deposit of 10 euros, which will be returned to you when you return it to the Spa reception.

39. Do not rest your feet on the furniture.

40. Please wear a T-shirt/shirt, trousers or dresses and footwear when in the
communal areas. For your safety, you must not move around in common areas
without wearing shoes.

41. You must not enter the interior of the hotel wet.

42. You are not allowed to use the white towels in your room outside your room.

43. Persons not staying at the hotel are not allowed to enter the hotel swimming pool.

44. The hotel car park is private to the hotel and it is not permitted to carry out any activity inside the hotel, unless duly authorised by the management with a written document.

45. Caravans are not allowed in the hotel car park.

46. Please do not use the pianos in the hotel. They are musical instruments that require special care and are therefore not to be played or practiced on. They may only be used by persons authorised by the management and only if they can demonstrate their professionalism in playing the piano.

47. The hotel swimming pool may undergo maintenance work at any time as
required. But especially outside of opening dates it may be subject to maintenance work including permanent closure of the entire pool area without any right to compensation or reimbursement.

48. In the event of common incidents in the maintenance of the hotel, information will be posted on the notice boards next to the lifts and on displays in the hotel reception.

49. The hotel car park is exclusively for hotel guests, whether they are staying or enjoying the Spa, Restaurant, Cafeteria-Bistro or events held at the hotel.

50. For safety reasons, fireworks, rockets, firecrackers, bangers, flares or fireworks are not permitted in the exterior, gardens or interior lounges of the hotel.

51. For your own comfort and good manners, please be respectful and avoid
situations that may cause discomfort to other guests.

Persons entering this hotel establishment are obliged to comply with these
regulations.
